Available on VHS video as part of the collection Machina Mystica. The technique of video feedback taken to its ultimate extreme. A chaotic system of multiple cameras and monitors generates an ever-changing abstract painting of color and light. The title refers to the Orouboros-like character of the recursive processing sytem. Set to a hypnotic soundtrack created using a Buchla modular synthesizer. This piece was created as a class project at California Institute of the Arts. I have a "making of" video which shows the puzzled expressions of my fellow students.... |
