is pleased to announce the release of
The Alchemist's Dream, the premiere audio CD from San Francisco
artist Dr. Yo. This novel recording is a hypnotic journey through
psychic and cybernetic spacetime. Using electronic and acoustic
instruments, the good Doctor creates sonic environments which
envelop the listener and catalyze the process of "trance formation."
Each of the 15 tracks on The Alchemist's Dream is a pocket universe with its own compelling reality. Dr. Yo combines industrial, electronic, and 60's psychedelic musical styles in a unique synthesis which ranges from meditative to angst-ridden. The ritual music of Tibetan Buddhism is also a clear influence; the Mantra suite features Dr. Yo's polyphonic harmonic chanting. Dr. Yo's 10 years of experience as an experimental video artist have given him substantial insights into the creation of unified perceptual experiences. His researches into psychology, neurology, religion, and the occult have contributed to a well-defined personal aesthetic which has resulted in numerous screenings at film festivals in the US and Europe. Many of the recordings on The Alchemist's Dream are also soundtracks for video art pieces, which are now available on home video through the artist's own Pleroma Publishing. Guest performances from

Matt Comeione
add extra dimensions to this already
diverse musical collection. Lovers of experimental, industrial,
